During the holiday season or as the year comes to a close, we are all reminded to give back. Most non-profits push for tax donations at the end of the year, or do food drives for Thanksgiving and Christmas. But what about the rest of the year? People are in need year-round and there will always be people that are less fortunate than we are. So, as a family, we have made it a priority to give back year-round. We stuffed backpacks with United Food Bank last year. As you saw on my last post, we helped Elliot’s Closet with a clothing drive for kids going back to school. Over the holidays, we adopted a home thru The Centers for Habilitation/TCH for people with disabilities. We also donated to Kyrene Schools, Arizona Autism United, Tempe Chamber of Commerce and the 100 Club of Arizona as we are passionate about what they do.
So, as you are preparing your taxes for the year, remember to include donations to your favorite charities. They need it!
Here are a few links to my favorite charities, just in case you don’t have your own…
We joined the Tempe Chamber of Commerce’s Ambassador group at the United Food Bank last week to pack backpacks for kids in need. There were about 25 of us and we packed over 1100 bags of food while we were there. We had a great time and enjoyed doing something to give back in our community. Look what came in the mail. What a nice surprise from the Secretary of State about the award we received. The love just keeps pouring in! Thank you Arizona Secretary of State, Michele Reagan. We are forever grateful to you and all of our customers, friends, colleagues, and the Tempe Chamber of Commerce for all of the love and support.
We are so excited that our CEO is 1 of 3 finalists for an award that the Tempe Chamber of Commerce is giving to Emerging Entrepreneurs in Tempe for 2015. Check out the story they wrote.
